Wawa Is Adding To Their Hot Food Menu

Known for its coffee, sandwiches, and quick screen-orders, Wawa is soon adding a few new additions to their hot menu. Though there are plenty of options to get you through every meal of the day several times over, but eating the same variation of a hot or cold hoagie can get old.

According to 10 Philadelphia, Wawa is in the process of testing some new recipes, including burgers, waffle fries, and breaded chicken sandwiches. Remember when Popeyes and Wendy's got into some Twitter drama over who had the best chicken sandwich? They might have to make room for a new contender now.

Because these new items are still in the early stages, they're only available at six locations nationwide, and only available within those stores after 4 p.m.

The specifics of the burger look like this: a beef patty will be served on a brioche bun, topped with bacon, tomato, pickles, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and garlic aioli.

If the quality of these new items compares to the hype of the fan-favorite hoagies, then they're sure to be a hit. It was only a matter of time before the convenience conglomerate caved and started serving traditional fast-food items. Until the day comes where burgers and chicken sandwiches are available in every location, you'll just have to keep your eyes peeled on the customer reviews.
