A Tragic War
Bosnia lost a significant amount of its written and environmental history when a devastating genocidal war ravaged the country from 1992-1995. During this time, Bosnia-Herzegovina declared its independence from Yugoslavia and created a religious divide between its people. The Bosnian military was largely Serb-dominated, and so was the Yugoslovik military, and they joined forces to mercilessly rid Bosnia of its Muslum population. This genocide also spread to Croatia, and in total 100,000 lives were claimed within three full years of war.
