The character Ben Daimio is a resurrected U.S. marine. He’s also Japanese-American. Skrein, regardless of his talents showcased in Deadpool, is a white person. In the end, Skrein ended up stepping down from the project, describing it as “the right thing to do and the only thing to do.”
