Gyllenhaal is quite the chameleon when it comes to acting. Need an emaciated sociopath or a guy with a spider fetish? He’s got you covered. Gyllenhaal can do it all…except, apparently, play an overeager zoologist in Bong Joon-ho’s Okja. Dr. Johnny is a pathetic excuse for a villain, mostly due to Gyllenhaal’s tragic performance.
