The Minnesota Timberwolves have announced guard Derrick Rose will be sidelined indefinitely due to an elbow injury.
Rose recently underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove bone chips from his right elbow injury.
The procedure took place at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota by Drs. Shawn O’Driscoll and Joaquin Sanchez-Sotelo in collaboration with Timberwolves Team Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Diane Dahm.
Rose managed to bring life back to his career this season, averaging 18.0 points, 4.3 assists, and career highs in field goals and 3 pointers at 48.2 percent and 37.0 percent, respectively, and then, unfortunately, the injury plague crept back once again.
Rose becomes a free agent after this season. The fate of the 10-year NBA vet remains to be seen.
