Life Hacks That Actually Work

Razor Saver

Water and metal don't mix, but for some reason, we insist on leaving our metal razors inside of the shower! After just a week, you may notice some rust forming on the edges of the razorblade. In order to avoid this, fully dry off the blade and put a binder clip over the razors. This will protect the metal and make for a longer-lasting razorblade!

The More You Know

  • Keep elastic hair bands in one place—not scattered in drawers or in the bathroom sink or all over the floor. Slide them onto an empty toilet paper roll, which can then be neatly tucked into a drawer.
  • If you have an unsightly deodorant mark on your clothes, don't rub your garment with a standard cloth and risk pilling. Instead, use a pair of pantyhose to gently rub the deodorant mark and watch it disappear with ease.
  • If you have all matching clothes hangers in your closet and sometimes you get one of the really cheap, plastic ones when you need an anti-slip hanger. One solution is to wrap pipe cleaners around the clothes hanger.
  • One of the most common ways to use magnetic strips is to hold kitchen knives and utensils in the kitchen.
