Before David Fincher was an Oscar-nominated film director, he was regarded as of the most talented music video directors in the business. At the 1990 VMAs, three out of the four nominated videos for Video of the Year had been directed by him, including “Janie’s Got A Gun.” Fincher may have moved on to motion pictures like Gone Girl (2014) and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), but his days working with the music industry won’t be forgotten.
