“HUMBLE.” truly made music video history. Kendrick Lamar’s spiritual video opens with Lamar dressed as the Pope, spitting verses in a cathedral. He then recreates Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting The Last Supper, sitting in Jesus’ seat at the table. Religious visuals, fire, and money made critics laud the video as a meditation on consumerism. It never hurts to take a leaf out of Lamar’s book and “sit down, be humble.”
