Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer, Michael James Ryan, who went by Busbee, has passed away.
Busbee worked with a long list of well-known artists like Maren Moris, Pink, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, Florida Georgia Line, Rascal Flatts, Little Big Town, and others outside the country genre, like Christina Aguilera, Shakira, and Gwen Stefani.
According to Variety, Busbee had been undergoing treatment for Glioblastoma, a type of brain cancer.
Some of his credits include Grammy-nominated “Try” by Pink and “The Fighter” by Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood.

I will always love you and the songs and albums I was lucky to make with you, Busbee. Rest well, my sweet friend.”
He is survived by his wife and three children.
