Born at 10:55 pm on May the 5th, Amy Schumer and husband, Chris Fischer, have welcomed their first child, a healthy baby boy.
Schumer’s road to motherhood was far from easy. She struggled with Hyperemesis gravidarum throughout her pregnancy causing severe nausea and vomiting through each trimester. The diagnosis landed her in the hospital a few times and even caused her to have to cancel a show in Texas.
Throughout her pregnancy, Schumer candidly shared the tribulations of her experience on social media.
Around the holidays, she shared a video of her throwing up while out on a walk with her husband. And when she had to cancel the Texas show, she wrote: “Baby’s fine but everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story. I’ve been even more ill this trimester. I have hyperemesis and it blows.”
Luckily, the baby boy was born healthy, and Amy can now recover from the tough pregnancy with all the happiness that her infant (and the imminent sleeplessness) has to offer.
