When Alamo Drafthouse brought cocktails and craft beer to its theaters, it seemed like a trip to the movies couldn’t get any better. At the end of 2018, however, another Texas theater has added dogs.
Yes, that’s right, dogs.
In Plano, Texas, K9 Cinemas allows dog owners to bring their four-legged friends with them to the movies. As if that wasn’t cool enough, the theater’s standard admission of $15 also includes bottomless wine (or four glasses of whiskey).
K9 Cinemas’s owner, Eric Lankford, is a dog lover himself and decided to create the theater after seeing a gap in the market. Dog owners can bring up to two dogs per person and dogs must have paperwork proving they are up to date on all vaccinations.
The theater doesn’t show new films, though, instead, it has theme-nights and plays old favorites and provides dog-friendly snacks for your furry friend.
