An animal refuge in the Bahamas has taken on 97 dogs to protect them from Hurricane Dorian. Chella Phillips, who manages “The Voiceless Dogs of Nassau, Bahamas,” has all 97 of the pups inside her home for safety.

Her rescue group works with rescue and adoption organizations in the United States to help find homes for the island’s homeless dogs. As the hurricane hit the islands, she packed her home with as many of the dogs as she could fit.

“97 dogs are inside my house and 79 of them are inside my master bedroom,” she wrote on Sunday. “It has been insane since last night, poop and p*ss non-stop but at least they are respecting my bed and nobody has dared to jump in.”

Dorian caused an island-wide blackout as it hit New Providence, where the rescue is located, as a Category 4 storm.
