Dean Martin With The Golddiggers
Dean Martin always surrounded himself with beautiful women - especially on his long-running variety show. Initially, his dancers were called “Dean’s Girls,” however during the summer of ’68 Frank Sinatra took over the show for a couple of months, and “The Golddiggers” came along with him. The group was made up of a dozen young women who sang, danced, and performed in sketches. When Dead returned to the show The Golddiggers stuck around and even guest-hosted the next two summers worth of replacement programming for him. By 1970 The Golddiggers had their special: The Golddiggers in London, hosted by Charles Nelson Riley and Marty Feldman. Oh to be back in the ‘70s.
