Unearthed World War II Pictures Show A Never-Before-Seen Side of History

Eating during the war was a difficult but necessary endeavor, as pictured here. These soldiers decided to dine atop giant boxes of ammunition. This photo was taken in 1944, just before the forces began preparations for the D-Day invasion of France. Their meals seem to be balanced. Hopefully, they included proteins, carbohydrates, fruits, and hydration before the big day.
