The Potash Ponds

Located in the middle of the Moab Desert in Utah, USA, these ponds are actually man-made and dyed blue. These ponds exist to evaporate and harness crystalized potassium chloride, or potash for short. These ponds contain a dominant mixture of water and potash, and they're dyed dark blue to hold in heat better for the evaporation process.
