When a Nashville-area animal rescue took in an 18-year-old owner-surrendered dog from a local shelter, they figure that Poochie would be in their care as a forever hospice foster.
Turns out, the universe had other plans for this old dog.
The rescue group, Proverbs 12:10, had been posting images of Poochie on their Twitter page after they picked him up from the shelter. This was something the rescue often did as older or more sickly dogs usually got overlooked.
While they planned to keep him in foster care to live out his days, country music star, Lule Bryan and his wife Caroline sent in an adoption application for Poochie.
And now, Poochie gets to live out his remaining days on the Bryans Tennesee farm with lots of room to roam and plenty of other animals to keep him company.
