Within 24 hours, a W.O.L.F rescue team had arrived at California to take New Boy to Wellington, Colorado. The group’s team of vets would then take it from there. However, even though they’re more “specialized”, the wolf-dog’s condition was so bad that the animal had to spend some time to recover in the infirmary.
New Boy’s behavior remained the same with W.O.L.F, as it still frequently shrunk into the corners. But, after a few days of patience and kindness, the wolf-dog’s defense had dropped enough for treatment to start. It was then treated with a combination of antibiotics, painkillers and frequent medicated baths.
Soon enough, New Boy would recover and look significantly better.
