Splitting Off

As is usually the case with many tribes back in the day, the Crow began splitting off into smaller groups once they had settled in their new homelands. The Mountain Crow, led by No Intestines, would go on a quest for sacred tobacco before settling in the Rocky Mountains.

Later on, another tribe would break off from the Mountain Crow and would travel to the Bighorn Basin in central Wyoming. There, the group would become known as the Eelalapito, or “Kicked In The Bellies.”
