Michael Jackson might have been a famous singer, but he had a real love for many other hobbies. He collected rare movie props, his favorite arcade games, and items in the realm of fantasy and other worlds.  This miniature castle is an example of one of his fantastical fascinations coming to life. There was also a 50-seat movie theater in his basement.

The More You Know

  • The Guinness brewery supported all of it's employees who chose to fight in WW1. They were paid half of their wages while away, and their jobs were guaranteed upon their return. The brewery also sent them care packages containing chocolate and condensed milk.
  • You only breathe out of one nostril at a time.
  • In 2009, Burger King launched a campaign that if you unfriended 10 friends on Facebook, you were entitled to a free Whopper. The person you unfriended would get a message telling them that their friendship is worth less than a Whopper.
  • The Nobel Committee declined to award the Nobel Peace Prize in 1948 because "there was no suitable living candidate." This was meant as tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, who was assassinated earlier that year without receiving the Prize.
