Tupac was considered one of the most significant and influential rappers of all time. With a career spanning only five years, with his first major release appearing on the scene in 1991, he'd already risen through the ranks of the West Coast rap and hip hop scene. His highest acclaimed album, "Me Against the World," has earned platinum status after platinum status. His death has been widely disputed - he was killed during a drive-by shooting and died six days later. The gunman was never found.
