Whoopi Goldberg played Guinan on Star Trek: The Next Generation in several episodes. The character Guinan is basically running a lounge in Enterprise-D and in addition to that, she provides counsel to the Starfleet members, She is literally a free therapist. When she was a kid, she was so obsessed with Star Trek. One time, she saw a black woman in the cast and she told her mother, "There’s a black lady on TV and she ain’t a maid!."
