Yvonne Craig was a ballerina at first. Apart from Star Trek, she was well known for starring as Batgirl on the 1960s TV show Batman. She used her character to convey the idea that women are equal to men. At the same time, she has written an autobiography named "From Ballet to the Batcave and Beyond." She passed away at the age of 78 in 2015.
