The Women of "Star Trek": Then and Now

Rosalind Chao

It was Rosalind Chao who acted as Keiko O'Brien on those two shows: Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Rosalind Chao's character was known to be a strong-willed and confident person. At the same time, she was a little stubborn too. She was a botanist on the show and also the head of plant science on the USS Enterprise-D. Besides, she also worked as a school teacher for those children in the space station Deep Space 9.
