Persis Khambatta is from Mumbai, India. She was the face of a soap brand first, then she began to become popular among people. She then competed in pageants. She won the title of Miss India and after that, she participated in the Miss Universe contest as well. She died of a massive heart attack in 1998 at the age of 49.
