1983 was the birth year of thrash metal, the punk/metal fusion that attracted both parties alike. Technically, the first thrash metal album was Metal Maniac by Exciter, but Kill ‘Em All brought thrash to the mainstage. Additionally, this was Metallica’s jump-off point to quickly climb themselves up to be the most influential metal band of all time.
