The Most Iconic (and Cringeworthy) Moments in Talk Show History

Kanye West's bizarre rant on Ellen

When Kanye West came on Ellen in 2016, the comedian didn't know he would hijack the show, going on a strange nearly seven-minute monologue about... well, everything.

"Picasso is dead. Steve Jobs is dead. Walt Disney is dead. Name somebody living who you can name in the same breath as them," West said. "Don't tell me about being likable. We've got 100 years here. We're one race. The human race. One civilization. We're a blip in the existence of the universe, and we're constantly trying to pull each other down. Not doing things to help each other. That's my point. I'm shaking, talking about it. I know it's daytime TV, but I feel I can make a difference while I'm here. I feel I can make things better through my skill-set. I'm an artist."
