A Carrie remake wasn’t exactly at the forefront of anyone’s mind, and the box office results reflected that. The story of Carrie centers around a shy, awkward misfit who is mercilessly tormented by bullies. Everyone agreed that casting cheerleader-blonde Moretz for the role was a poor choice since Moretz looks more like she would be the one bullying Carrie, not playing Carrie herself.
