Teen Wears Dress-Code Violating Outfits To School in Attempts To Get Written Up

Gen Z is actively fighting back against school dress codes. Naturally, they're posting their plight to TikTok.

Drew Jading and Kenzie Crimmins wanted to prove that their Illinois high school dress code discriminates against girls and is more lenient towards boys. Jading decided to take the plunge and matched his friend's outfit: a crop top and shorts.

they really wrote up @kenziecrimmins and didn’t say anything to me #dresscode #sexist

Knowing the outcome already, the two friends went into this experiment on a high note and found the humor through filming a TikTok.

Funny enough, the two made it through most of the day unscathed. They even made a dancing TikTok in the library in front of a bunch of teachers. So far, so good.

Unfortunately, Crimmins did not make it through the day. She was written up for "showing her stomach" in the 7th period. "They were like, 'Your shirt is really revealing' and offered for me to go to the resource room to change," she told Buzzfeed.

Meanwhile, Jading met no pushback for his outfit, which was even more revealing than Crimmins'. Jading says that the school dress code prohibits spaghetti straps or straps that show too much shoulder, crop tops, ripped jeans, and pants, dresses, and shorts that are above the knee. His shorts were definitely classified as short-shorts.
