A fat cat made headlines last week when Wright-Way Rescue in Illinois made a hilarious ad for the 25-pound feline. The rescue posted the following ad, describing Bruno as, “too cool to be homeless.”
Soon after, they were flooded with inquiries…

The Facebook post described him as a high-maintenance guy with extra toes. A total of 161 adoption applications flooded in for him. But on August 22nd, 29-year-old Lauren Paris was the official winner of Bruno’s heart.
She said, “When I saw a photo of Bruno that had been shared on Facebook I just…freaked. It was this wild combination of an excited laugh/cry. And I felt this insane drive â I knew I would do whatever it took to be his forever home.”
Knowing this oversized polydactyl cat would be popular, Lauren planned an adoption application that couldn’t be refused.
Lauren recorded a song called “Give me that Fat Cat” to go with her application along with submitting letters of reference as well. After catching the shelter’s attention, they knew they had found the most perfectly suited adopter for Bruno.
And as the adoption was finalized, she was pictured crying with joy.
