Clean Your Pans With Baking Soda and Vinegar

All that caked on crust can be removed with some baking soda, vinegar, water, and a little elbow grease. As a matter of fact, scrubbing just about anything with this solution will clean it. Just be careful, some surfaces aren't well suited to the harshness of these chemicals.

The More You Know

  • To have an ice cold can in just a few minutes, put your drink in a large pot and cover it with ice. Fill the pot with water, add a couple cups of salt, and stir until the salt is dissolved. Your canned beverage will magically be cold.
  • You can cut your dusting time in half with one common household item: a dryer sheet. Simply swipe it over your baseboards and its anti-static properties will keep dust from sticking while making your home smell fresh.
  • Find a tall pitcher about the height of your wine bottle and get cooling. Immerse the bottle in ice water with a small handful of salt and turn every few minutes or so.
  • If you have all matching clothes hangers in your closet and sometimes you get one of the really cheap, plastic ones when you need an anti-slip hanger. One solution is to wrap pipe cleaners around the clothes hanger.
