Jackie Kennedy’s Tragedy

The designer Anne Lowe was appointed the making Jackie Bouvier’s wedding dress in 1953. Unluckily, a water pipe broke at her studio which miserably destroyed about ten dresses including that of Jackie’s. It took two months to create that masterpiece which was ruined in a matter of seconds. This tragedy happened ten days before the ceremony. Lowe, running out of time and help, tried her best to recreate the gown. After putting in a lot of effort, she was finally able to make a similar one with a classic neckline. It later became one of the most historically iconic gowns.
