Earlier this week in Illinois, a police officer gave a local homeless man a precious gift.
Officer Brian Zagorski of the Niles Police Department saw a homeless man trip on the old soles of his beat-up shoes and pulled over to chat with the man. Officer Zagorski offered the man a bag of toiletries collected by a local assistance program, but the man refused it, but he was determined to help this man.

After seeing him stumble over his beat up shoes, he asked him what size shoe he wore, and as fate would have it, they were the same shoe size. Without thinking twice, Officer Zagorski took off his sneakers and gave them to the man.
“I was happy,” Zagorski told WGN-TV. “I made a difference, and that’s essentially what we sign up to do, is to make a difference.”
