This Taiwanese Village Is Run by Cats

By 4 months ago

In Taiwan, Houtang Cat Village is a small town with over 200 cats roaming the streets. Vaccinations have been administered to about 268 cats, so both the cats and their admirers are safe in the village.

There’s even a donated empty van that houses the cats when the weather is bad. The back is open so cats can sleep inside the shelter until a storm passes. Inside the van is water and blankets for the cats during bad days.

Visitors can buy cat food from local vendors to make friends with the feline locals. However, the human members of the community keep the cats well fed.

With a cat on every corner, The Houtang Cat Village might just be the purr-feat getaway for any friend of felines.
