Christopher Meloni Was Working on Oz and SVU at the Same Time
Chris Meloni was still doing Oz when he signed on to Law & Order: SVU. Meloni quit the gig for a bit, but he picked it back up again the following season. Although he did express his gratitude for having secured two steady jobs as an actor, Meloni noted that it was challenging to go from a sadistic rapist and murder on one show to the guy who catches sadistic rapists and murderers on the other show.
