This one remains something of a mystery. A 20-year-old theme park employee died while riding Rolling Thunder at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey. The incident occurred during a test run in 1981, and although it was concluded that the employee failed to properly secure himself, the exact circumstances of the accident are unknown because no one actually saw the young man plummet from the ride.
