The Big Dipper incident was one of the deadliest rollercoaster accidents in America. In 1930, the Big Dipper rollercoaster in Krug Park, Nebraska experienced brake failure, causing several cars to derail from the tracks and crash 35 feet to the ground. Four people were crushed and 19 others were injured.
