Waitress in Texas Walked 14 Miles to Work Until Her Customers Step In

Adrianna Edwards knows the meaning of hard work. In fact, just to get to her place of work each day she has to walk four and a half hours.

Edwards, a waitress at a Denny's in Galveston, Texas, had been pinching pennies in an effort to save up for a car so she wouldn't have to make the 14-mile trek to and from her job.

However, Edwards got the surprise of her life recently when an anonymous couple she had served earlier in the week surprised her with a car of her own after they had learned about her grueling commute.

The couple paid their bill and left the restaurant but returned a few hours later with keys in hand. They gifted Adrianna a 2011 Nissan Sentra, and she was totally shocked. They only asked that in return she pay it forward.

Now, the money Edwards saved to purchase herself a car will be put towards her college tuition, meaning she can get started on her education much sooner than expected.

"I still feel like I'm dreaming. Every two hours, I come look out my window to see if there's still a car there," she said. Now, she is already planning on using her good fortune to help others.
