Dozens of volunteers from The Juliet Club, a nonprofit organization that responds to letters sent to Shakespeare’s famous character Juliet Capulet, have been offering their best romantic advice to those seeking love and guidance for years.
Letters from around the world come in, addressed to “Juliet, Verona,” from the lovelorn souls lamenting their romantic woes and heartache, seeking advice from the famous female. Club members do their best to respond and offer their best advice.
The club is filled with a multitude of writers each with different backgrounds and experiences when it comes to personal relationships so they can prepare the best response possible.
“When people write to Juliet, [their] hearts are often frustrated, confused and in a mess,” one volunteer said. “But she takes all those feelings, calms them down, and reads them back to you as a beautiful song thatâs easier to understand.”
