Man Goes Viral After Trying to Sell Invisibility Cloak on Social Media

The newest feature of the social media website Facebook has been the Marketplace. This allows users to put things for sale for other people to buy. The stuff you usually see here are second hand gadgets and clothes or accessories that people are trying to get rid of. But sometimes there are listings that are not just funny, but they are utterly ridiculous.

One of the most ridiculous listings posted has been an invisibility cloak. The item was posted by Stewart Knox. Stewart posted the cloak for just £200 on a Facebook group. Since then, Stewart and his item have gone viral. When Stewart posted the ad, he was obviously just joking. But he also couldn’t resist adding a bit of humorous flare to his listing.

“I’m selling my invisibility cloak. I have included one picture of the cloak and one with it on. Size 42 men’s size with a 15 inch collar and two inside pockets in color blue. Still has tags on it, worn a few times but selling as I’ve put some weight on and is tight around the chest. Grab yourself a bargain.” Since the item was posted, thousands of people have made comments and likes. It has even been shared a hundred times over.

“I had a bad hand injury so I was off work for a week recovery and I get bored very easily.” explained Stewart, “I got the hand injury the first day back from our family holiday in Florida. My nine-year-old son Daigan, he had bought one of those Harry Potter wands over there and we had talked about how awesome it would be if you could actually buy an invisibility cloak and what you could get up to with one.”
