Life Hacks That Actually Work

Messy Cord Days are Over

We all have tons of random cords in this day and age. At this point, it's become a habit for many households to keep random cords because "what if we find what it belongs to and we need it?" That's where the cord drawer is born. This is usually a random drawer in your home that quickly becomes overrun with cords. This is your solution! Take toilet paper rolls, line them up, and place the cords inside. No more chaos.

The More You Know

  • If you find your fitted sheets slipping off the corners of your bed, look no further than your closet for an easy fix. Just use a pair of elastic suspenders, clipping one end to each corner under the mattress, and your sheet will stay put.
  • Store small extension cords neatly with this simple office supply hack: Attach a paperclip to a small rubber band. Then wrap the rubber band around the bundled cord and clasp the paperclip onto the rubber band again.
  • If you have an unsightly deodorant mark on your clothes, don't rub your garment with a standard cloth and risk pilling. Instead, use a pair of pantyhose to gently rub the deodorant mark and watch it disappear with ease.
  • Keep elastic hair bands in one place—not scattered in drawers or in the bathroom sink or all over the floor. Slide them onto an empty toilet paper roll, which can then be neatly tucked into a drawer.
