Vladimir Lenin
Lenin looks far from normal in this photo, and there's a good reason for that. In the final stage of his life, he had multiple strokes, which rendered him mentally deficient. Vladimir Lenin, leader of the October Revolution and the first leader and founder of the Soviet Union, died in Gorki aged 53 after falling into a coma. The official cause of death was recorded as an incurable disease of the blood vessels. On January 21, 1924, a fourth stroke finally ended his historic life.
