On May 10th, LaCroix hinted that a new flavor was on its way via Twitter and fans went wild with speculation.
People guessed, based on the color of the can, that the new flavor would be watermelon, strawberry lemonade, pomegranate, raspberry lime, and dragon fruit.
Three days later, LaCroix revealed the answer: hibiscus.

— LaCroix Water (@lacroixwater) May 13, 2019This had fans of the sparkling water a bit disappointed, as, let’s be honest, it was a flavor no one had hoped for.
“You been knew we all thought this was going to be watermelon,” @emwngg said on Twitter, adding a couple of extremely frustrated-looking emojis.
It seemed that most fans had been dead set on a watermelon flavor for the summer release, but alas, the LaCroix gods have spoken. Think about the flowery cocktail possibilities!
