Kentucky Fried Chicken and Beyond Meat have finally announced their new fried "chicken" meal.
"We couldn’t be prouder to partner with KFC to offer a best-in-class product that not only delivers the delicious experience consumers expect from this iconic chain but also provides the added benefits of plant-based meat," Ethan Brown, Founder and CEO, Beyond Meat, said in a statement. "We are truly thrilled to make it available to consumers nationwide."

The six-piece Beyond Fried Chicken nuggets will start at $6.99 (the same price as the six-piece original chicken tenders) and will come with a choice of KFC dipping sauce, including Honey BBQ, Ranch, Honey Mustard, and KFC Sauce. It will also be available in a 12-piece order and as KFC’s first-ever plant-based combo meal with fries and a medium drink.
This announcement is a bit bittersweet, though. KFC has said that the meal is not prepared in a vegan or vegetarian manner. They didn't go into detail, but we can assume that these nuggets are probably fried in the same oil as real chicken. Win some, lose some.

In a world where there are plant-based alternatives to everything, KFC is finally entering the game. Wendys and Burger King have introduced non-meat alternatives to their burgers. Tons of restaurants have also included Impossible meat and Beyond meat to their menus.
This is a limited-time offer!
