While in the past, Hilary Duff was not quite on board with a Lizzie McGuire reboot, it seems the actress has since had a change of heart.
The beloved Disney Channel series, Lizzie McGuire, in which Hilary Duff starred as the title role, ran from 2001-2004. The 31-year-old actress told “Entertainment Tonight” in a recent interview that there had “been some conversations” about rebooting the show.
“It could be a possibility or it could be nothing, so we’ll see,” Duff said.
Even though she warned that it was just a small glimmer of hope for the reboot, dedicated fans took to Twitter to proclaim their love for the show and need for a reboot.

Duff believes that the show is incredibly timely for young girls right now, saying, “I think she was so important to girls at an important time in their life. If she could be important to them again at this age, I think that would be amazing.”
Here’s to hoping!
