#13. Conviction
In a surprising turn of events, however, the police decided that they’d had enough proof already to convict Jennings of the crime. This was despite the overwhelming lack of physical evidence linking him, as well as the fact that no weapon had been recovering. The case would be tried many times over the years, but eventually, Jennings would finally be convicted – in O’Keefe’s hometown of Lancaster no less – and put away for 40 years in prison.
