Led Zeppelin 

Led Zeppelin was one of the most successful bands of the 1970s and became rock legends for their incredible musical abilities, but maybe their songwriting skills weren't as impressive. Their famous hit single from 1971, "Stairway to Heaven" was allegedly plagiarized. The opening of the song is a shameless copycat of the rock band Spirit's song, "Taurus".

The More You Know

  • Portland was named by a coin flip. Had the coin landed the other way, the city would be known as Boston, Oregon.
  • The first time Reddit was mentioned in the New York Times, it was described as "foolish collectivism" that "grinds away the Web's edges and saps it of its humanity".
  • The Guinness brewery supported all of it's employees who chose to fight in WW1. They were paid half of their wages while away, and their jobs were guaranteed upon their return. The brewery also sent them care packages containing chocolate and condensed milk.
