She appeared in many free readings, benefits, and concerts before getting her first Off-Broadway role. This role was for Freckleface Strawberry, and she is still an original cast member. Smith-Goodwin also played the lead role in Circumstance and Sweet Charity. Contrary to the popular belief, her hair isn't orange-red as you might see it in Wendy's commercials.
