The Perfect Storm
Theorizing how an LAPD officer could get away with murder, Nuttall and Barba came to the conclusion that it would only make sense to commit the crime on a day off. The officer would know better than to use their duty gun since it would have to be disposed of after the crime, and penalties for losing a duty gun were severe. Finally, an officer would know exactly how to stage a crime scene to satisfy overworked detectives on the case.
