Flight 19 Before Vanishing

A Martin PBM Mariner flying boat was sent to search for them, but it also ended up vanishing in the search. 

No one knows what happened to the men in this photograph, even to this day. On December 5, 1945, the crews of five Grumman TBM Avenger torpedo bombers vanished over the Bermuda Triangle. Named the "Lost Squadron," the crew lost radio connections with the Navy. They were then deemed missing.
