Hindenburg Final Flight

Moments before the hidenburg disaster took place that would change aviation forever.

The German aircraft was in use from March of 1936 until May 6th, 1937. This photo was taken on that same day when the Hindenburg was making its way over the Garden State. No one really knows how the fire started, but once it was lit, the flames spread quickly throughout the ship. 9 of the 12 crew members perished, but only 35 of the 97 people on board died.
